Congratulations on a great start to a podcast! When I worked in the newspapers I had to print everything off for the same reason. I would find errors that I'd missed on the page. That's also the reason you often find obvious typos as soon as you hit send and then you go to read your work over. Your brain has settled into a different mode, so now it sees different things.

Thanks for sharing your experience with printing off things to help with the editing process. It definitely works a different part of my brain for sure!

It seems like the more varied methods we use to consume our words while editing, the better!

Agreed. I'll share your podcast in Authortunities this Saturday. I enjoyed listening. Keep at it. I started a talkshow a few years ago and it was awful... but how can we get better if we don't step out?

I do NOT miss the weeks of fireworks that happen in the midwest. We had a poor old dog that would hyperventilate in terror.
